Ten years ago I pulled the newspaper off the windows and opened Jean Theory's doors for the first time. I couldn't wait to show you a place where you could find not just a great pair of jeans, but THE jeans - the perfect fit you had been searching for. I knew I had something significant to show you. I never imagine just how much you would show me.

Over the years I've seen women who have never met encourage and uplift each other. I've seen how empowering it is to finally find a pair of jeans that makes you feel good. I've seen your generosity at the fundraisers we've hosted.

Every time you come in for a fitting, we gain additional knowledge that helps us help the next woman feel her best. Every sale we make allows us to expand our inventory to offer you an even greater selection, and every friend you send in becomes a new friend of ours.

You inspire me to contine to work hard and move forward. You remind me every day that the early years of NYC and back in 30 hours, sleeping in the back of the store, and commissioning friends and family to paint, build, and haul boxes (like four times, but who's really counting) was all worth it. You have taught me the immense power of women supporting women.

The community we've built, the frienships I've watched grow and those I've made personally are things I never take for granted. I would especially like to thank Maddie, who has been with JT for seven years. She's now the manager and the first perosn many of you meet when you visit the store. She is invaluable to me and I can't imagine doing any of this without her.

Jean Theory wouldn't be what is is today without every one of you. Thank you for allowing me to share my passion. Thak you for being part of my Jean Theory family, and thank you for an amazing ten years.
