When summer comes, we spend our days in our jean shorts. If you have a pair, you know how much it matters to have go-tos - ones that feel like a second summer skin, show off your sun-glow, and can take you from a hike to an outdoor dinner without ever losing their shape or their chic. 

Finding the perfect pair is never quite as easy as taking last season’s full lengths and cutting them off mid-thigh. It’s less like recycling boyfriend jeans and it’s more like falling in love with a new boyfriend: it takes some trial and error but once it happens, it’s bliss. We’ve had a few great summer flings with a few pairs and we spend a lot of time thinking about them. So much time, in fact, that we wrote them love letters.

Or there’s Crash and Tidal, black and grey, the rock’n’roll, band t-shirt on a hot city street version of summer. Your high waist means we can wear all of our crop tops. Just loose enough to be easy and breezy, just tight enough to show off the yoga butt we’ve been working on all summer. Perfectly vintage in approach, you feel lived in and loved already and look perfect with our vintage inspired Chimi sunglasses. You’re the Thelma to our Louise, as chill and beachy as the names of your washes.

Your relaxed stretch and perfect cuff means you’re comfortable and cute for everything from gardening to relaxing on the beach. Thrown into our Royln tote to change into after a dip in the river or packed in a weekender for a weekend at the in-laws, you always make us feel at home. You might look like a normal pair of boyfriend shorts but you feel like butter and never lose your perfect shape. You’re the daily love, the one we can count on, a soft serve ice cream cone with sprinkles on a hot afternoon.

The roughed up, ripped jeans of our dreams. You’re like the bad boy on a motorcycle we never knew we needed. Any other summer, you’d take us to rock concerts but this summer you take us to watch the sunset on the equinox on a socially distanced overlook in Shenandoah. You’re as easy to pair with Tkees as you are to pair with our Bed Stu boots and you only need to add a white tee to be absolutely perfect. You’re sunset skies, motorcycle exhaust, finding the perfect antique at a flea market on a hot afternoon.
